Bosch WFMC64 stuck on "Er: 15"
Model Number: WFMC64 Brand: Bosch Age: 5 - 10 years
About a week ago, my 6-ish year old WFMC64 started going into Error (no code displayed). It would show error on the LCD and the drain pump would kick on. Shutting off and restarting wouldn't clear this, but unplugging it for a while (like overnight) would...and we'd run a couple loads but then it would error out again.
Eventually it started going in to Error immediately after being turned on. I finally got the service manuals and got it into the troubleshooting mode. The thing is, it didn't let me actually run the tests, it just displayed "Error! Er: 15". This was at least something. Error 15 lists out as the analogue pressure switch! Analog pressure switch ordered...replaced...and same code, the instant "Er: 15" displays. I've left it unplugged overnight hoping it would clear any lingering codes. Nope, still the same code. At this point, all I can think of is to replace the ECU...but I'm not sure I want to throw > $250 at a machine without understanding what is going on and the chances that this will actually fix it.
