LG WD3274 circuit board missing a connector
Model Number: WD3274 Brand:
5 - 10 years
This is a combo washer/dryer with one drum that's worked fine for many years. Then one day dead. No lights on control panel, no sound, nothing moves. Troubleshooting found line power going into the main circuit board, a sealed unit, but not coming out anywhere at all.
So I ordered a replacement PWB Main Assy, AP4444711 (6871ER1023R). The replacement looks identical to the original except for it's missing one socket. So on installation there's one bundle of wires with no place to plug into the PWB. The solder pads to hold the socket are visible on the PWB, it was just never installed at manufacture.
Tried it anyway and the WD works for a while then throws "dHE" error on the display and shuts down. Look up that code it means "Check water supply." Water supply is fine, turned on, clothes get wet.
What's up with this? Did I get a defective replacement part? Or is there something else I'm supposed to hook up? Some kind of mid production run change on this model?
