I just ordered a new spin tube for a Whirlpool washer and I read a post about there being oil in the housing that will leak out when the spin tube is removed. If this is the case then what type and how much oil needs to be put into the housing when the new spin tube is inserted. Also is there a certain procedure to follow when doing this and should new seals be used. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

There is some grease involved, but no oil

This service manual will take you through the process
