The washer seems not to work when cold water is involved. That is, when the temp. selector is set to cold/cold, the washer will not operate. On warm/cold, the waser will go through the wash cycle but will not operate when it reaches the rinse cycle. The same thing happens when set to hot/cold. The timmer has been replaced, both the hot and cold water inlet strainers have been cleared, and the drain hose has been checked to insure adequate air flow is present. Do I have a water pump problem, a temp. switch problem, or something else?

Switch the connectors on the water inlet valve assembly and try it. If you still get hot water and no cold when it calls for cold/cold then the valve assembly is probably the problem.
