Washer spins sometimes and won't spin other times unless I help it start spinning. It seems to be fine once it starts spinning, (spins at normal speed, no weird noises) but it does stop abruptly when the spin cycle ends, it used to slow down gradually

You have bad brake shoes, it should be fixed before the motor fails.
