Washer is not mixing cold water
Model Number: PAV2300 Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
The cold water for washing/rinsing will work for a few minutes and then shuts off. The hot/warm water works fine for either cycles. The water supply and hose was ok. Any suggestions?

Switch the plugs on the water valve assembly, putting the cold on the hot and the hot on the cold. Then see what happens
If the hot water does what the cold water was doing then the problem is likely in the wiring or the timer. Otherwise the problem is likely in the valve assembly, which is the most likely.
