Model Number: MAH2400AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Opened door, noticed water leaking and clamp fell out. Diaghragm boot split at bottom. Ordered replacement parts, but when went to attempt change realized not nearly as simple as it had looked. Are there instructions (detailed) available to do this or do I have to breakdown and call The Maytag repair man? Thanks

Yes, it is a lot more involved, but you could handle it. Unplug the power cord and turn off the water supply. Remove the top cover. three screws across the back and slide the top back and off. Remove the control panel Remove Dispenser drawer. 1 screw on console right side.Remove 2 screws located behind dispenser. Remove Tip Console to access connectors. NOTE: Clip wire ties if necessary to gain access to Control Board. CAUTION: Do not reassemble washer without replacing clipped wire ties. Do not remove wire ties if replacement are not available. Remove connectors from Control Board back. And set the console aside. Remove Boot retainer spring/wire from groove in boot. Pull boot over and off lip on Front Panel. Front Panel/ Door Latch Removal Remove Toe Panel. Remove 6 screws on Front Panel top and bottom. Lift front Panel from hanger hooks. Disconnect Door Latch wire connector. Set front panel assembly aside. Loosen the boot mounting clamp/wire bolt. Remove the boot from outer tub front flange. Reverse the procedure and test washer operation and leaks. It looks and sounds worse than it is. I would think you could handle it.
