Model Number: Unknown Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me out in my very frustrating journey thus far to resolve my issue. We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Steam washer from a scratch and dent store in February. Thought we got a great deal for my wiffe and I and our new home. However, they removed the model/serial number sticker from the inside of the washer door. My home warranty repair company is fighting me to repair it since they don't have this info. Two questions: 1. Is there any other option to find the model number (at least) of the washer if this sticker is moving? It was not listed on the receipt of purchase sadly and the store we bough it through (mom and pop) has not returned my calls. 2. The real issue: When we turn the knob, all the cycles from 12 o'clock left to 6 o'clock cycle will work just fine, however, when we turn the knob to the right it will not select those cycles but instead lights up the cycles that are in the same position to the left. In essence, half of our cycles don't work at all, and half of our cycles work twice. Any ideas/suggestions as to what may be causing this issue? The repairman we had to pay for said it was the control panel, most likely, but they don't know how to find the part number without the model number. Feeling really stuck in this whole process. HELP! Thanks, Nicholas Ads By Google Related Models |

Hi NIcholas
Sorry for your problem and your difficulty in getting the model number. About the only thing I can tell you to do is to go to a large appliance store and see if they have a model that looks very much like yours, and get that model number and use it to order parts. Try replacing the control unit, and if you order it from this site and it does not fix things you can replace it, see the returns policy for details and instructions.
