So my washer will fill up with water and go through the agitation cycle with no problems/odd sounds. When it goes into the spin cycle, it doesn't spin and it makes a loud screeching sound. I checked both belts on the bottom of the washer and they are not broken or warped or anything. I disconnected the pump belt and ran the cycle again and it still made the noise. Then I reattached and disconnected the main drive belt and it doesn't make any odd noises with that belt disconnected. So I believe that this points to a problem with either the motor or the tub pulley/bearing. Does anyone have any experience in this particular matter or have any tips for me for troubleshooting further? Thanks.
