We have a kenmore top load washer that spins but not at full speed. The clothes are not fully span out and the dryer takes twice as long to dry.I can hold the bucket when spin starts and hold it no problem from spinning. Like i said it spins but sloooowly. Any help on how to fix it will be appreciated!

If the spin basket appears loose, you have a bad drive block. If firm, you have dragging brake shoes and a bad clutch. Check and post.

i put my hands on either side of the spin basket and move it back and forth. it hits the sides of the washer body. It appears to be very loose. Cant lift it up though just move side to side and all around
