washing machine agetator coupling kit . my bolt rusted out and agetator came off with coupling kit, coupling kit threads rusted almost off, i looked and looks as if there are no threads in top of transmisson shaft, would i have too change transmission also or is there a alternative way too connect coupling kit too transmission . i was going too try a self taping screw in it but dont know if it would hold or wobble too much and just tear it out again because there will be no proper bolt for it .

I don't understand why this has happened, the only thing I can think of is an excessive amount of bleach or the thing was bad to begin with.

At any rate I think a new machine is your best option.
