The last 4 loads of laundry have come out dirty still - dirt on items that it normally would have removed. Clothes seem to be spinning properly, as they don't come out dripping. What could be the problem? Agitator?

I use Purex usually and have for years. I bought Tide today, thinking maybe it was a cheaper detergent, but I doubt it. Haven't tried yet.

Any help appreciated!

If it is agitating correctly then a likely problem is the pump is not working correctly, or something is in the drain hoses that is preventing the water from draining quickly.

It should not be your detergent.
