Default Replacing Frigidaire Duet Shock Absorber
Model Number: LTF16700S0   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
My Frigiadaire front loader washer makes an load clanking noise while spinning. Upon my husband inspecting it, he found the one shock absorber was broken. For a bit under $40 we just ordered replacements (2 comes in a pack). Does anyone know how to change these absorbers? He said it looks pretty simple, but is wondering how the pins come out? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

In the middle of each pin is a keeper that need to be pressed in to allow the pin to be removed and the shock to come loose. If you have a deep well socket that will fit over the end of the pin, it can help with the removal. Other than that, wear gloves as everything is sharp inside those units.

Hi,

Brian is correct and please do wear the gloves. There are some sharp edges in there.
