Default Washer Starts Then Stops
Model Number: GLTF2940FSI   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 1 - 5 years

Washer Starts /fills With Water; However, Same Shuts Off After Approximately 2 Min. And Displays Err Pause. There Is No Numeric Error Code, Just Err. It Will Drain And Spin Sometimes. If I Play With The Door/and Unplug The Machine I Can Get It To Work For A Few Minutes

Inside the lower service panel are some tech notes that will show you how to put it into a diagnostic mode and generate error codes. On your model these will be generated as flashing lights.

It sounds like the door lock assembly is bad, that is where I would concentrate. It can also be the wiring between the door lock assembly and the control unit, and if all that checks out the control unit is suspect.
