Yesterday washer filled with water then stopped, played around with timer trying differnt settings with no change only a hum when I pull knob to start position. 4 years old
Today removed most of clothes then turned basket counterclockwise then clockwise, turning counterclockwise was relatively easy, turning clockwise took some effort, then tried starting again and it started to work but making squeak hum noise as it worked, I put in one of the sheets I took out and it continued again, as it moved to spin drain and started turning it stopped again. After I let it sit about 30 minutes went back and turned on again it hummed, so I took set out again and set o spin in hope of emptying water out, pulled switch out to start and it started to spin but sounded like it kept engaging disengaging really fast and got a little speed then I started to smell a burning odor so I shut it down. No water evacuated, guess it didn't get that far in cycle. Can anyone make suggestions? I'm pretty handy and doesn’t mind taking cabinet apart, matter of fact I just installed a new dishwasher today. Would just need guidance locating screws to remove cabinet.
