Model Number: MLG2000AWW Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
This is a Maytag stacked washer/dryer. When the drum changes direction at the beginning of the wash cycle I hear a clicking sound like a relay activitating or a solenoid closing. This is now followed by what I can best describe as a short "chriping" sound. This event continues with each drum reversal cycle until the wash event ends. This has just started to occur. There are no other unusual sounds or odors. The machine goes through its full wash cycle without any other problems. It sounds somewhat like a belt slipping.
