will not spin

Model Number: 110. 15852400 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer will not spin when it goes to that mode. It will agitate just not spin. I have checked the basket and I get resistance when I manually try to move it. There are no odd sounds out of the ordinary.
