I need to replace the spin bearing and seals. Tub leaks

I believe i need to remove teh brake and transmission to complete this.

There is a "warning 200lbs" on the brake but again I believe I need to remove this to get to the seals.
I don't have the special tool. I want to disassemble to order parts
any suggestions?

Thanks

There are two schools of thought on this.

There is a way to release the brakes and brake spring without the special tool. You can search this site and you will find instructions.

The other way is to get the brake tool.

I am a conservative and my feeling is that if the factory specs say use the tool, I use the tool.
