The washer control board does not allow the wash machine vto go through the full cycle. I can select the wash type, select hot, warm or cold water however the washer does not want to spin or drain. We had a power spike sevweral weeks ago and I wonder if a portion of the circvuit board could have been damaged. The dryer circuit board is fine and the dryer goes through all cycles. Thi

A power spike will do that, try changing out the board and see if that fixes things. You might be able to see damage on the board, look for burnt areas.
