substitute lid latch?
Model Number: sg1000 Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
The lid latch for my Maytag sg1000 broke, but apparently is not made anymore. The part number is 215-254, or AP248913. Does anyone know of a way to replace it? Apparently it costs less than $20. Is there another lid latch I can use? The washer had been working fine, and I would hate to replace the whole machine for a small, inexpensive part.
