Hello
I have a Maytag Washer model NAV5000AWW
The belt has been making noices and when I look under the machine I found a lot of oil has been sprayed around the base, the light brown oil is leaking onto the center pulley.
I have checked out the online schematics and see that a part #207843 is listed as "Seal Transmission Husing (Lip)".
Will replacing this seal stop the oil leak?
Does the seal come with replacement instruction?
Is special tooling required to replace this seal?
What oil is recommend and can it be added into the transmission?
Also looks like I will need Drive Belt #22003483

Best regards,
Terry

Terry,

1. I believe so.

2. I'm not sure about it, but you can find the instructions in the Service manual.

3. Yes, according to the manual you'll need the seal installer part number AP4016321 or AP3854869. You have to verify it with the APP team.

4. You can use the transmission oil with the part number AP3072960

5. The part number for the belt is AP4029079
