Fuse blows in wiring harness when I plug it in. What does fuse protect?

Thanks,

See if you have a wiring diagram inside the console (GE does not release tech info so we do not have one). The fuse probably protects the inverter on the motor, and it blows because of excess current. Look for a short along its wiring, hard to find, but that is what is likely the problem.
