My Maytag full sized stacked washer/dryer is producing an odd odor like hot electrical insulation or a hot belt. This happened as a washer load was finishing its spin. Should I try a small load in the washer and see if the smell returns? I did dry the clothes from the last load and they dryed fine without any odor. Since I am handy around the house, should I be able to replace the washer belt if that is the problem? I don't see any trouble shooting guides on here.
regards

Maytag cut off access to their tech info so we cannot link you to it.
