Washer will spin slowly but not drain
Model Number: AAV7000AWW Brand: Admiral Age: 1 - 5 years
It started about 2 weeks ago. The washer will spin ( in rinses and spin cycles). However, is will not drain or drain slowly. It is not suds lock. It will spin/drain out the water if I take the clothes out to let the water spin out. Then I put the clothes in and it will usually spin out.
I noticed that if I tap the motor ( it actually moves) it will start spinning faster. The belt also gets hot. Could the belt be slipping and need repalcing or is it more involved than that. hanks. Mikie
