Maytag top load washer wont drain
Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Looking for some help guys.My washer wont drain but the tub does spin and i can see the pump pulley turning.Also the tub doesnt seem to be spinning as fast as it should.I can stop it with my hand very easily and spin it backwards while it is running.I did put the drain hose in a 5 gal bucket and the tub drained.I am thinking belts but wanted some advice.Thanks for any help. UPDATE:This morning the tub spins very fast and does empty.I am at a loss.UPDATE 2. Tonight it is back to not spinning fast and also leaking water during the spin cycle.Help please!
