Washer does not spin or rotate, all else appears to be working. Same happened a week ago, disconnected/reconnected motor electrical connections and it began to work again. Noticed strange noise several loads later and saw excessive electrical activity near brush area of motor. Stopped washer, removed brushes which had worn substantially, replaced with new brushes. Washer now does not spin or rotate at all again, checked and rechecked connections with no success. Examples: on spin cycle washer pump drains continuously but no spinning ever starts, on wash cycle washer fills and then sits...no spinning. Could run electrical diagnostics...have meter etc, but no diagram or idea where to start. .....large family, many loads behind :(... Thanks for any ideas!
