Sometimes it works properly, but sometimes it stops in the middle or close to the end a cycle and it seems that it started to happen more and more frequently lately and nowadays it doesn't work properly in most cases. The timer dial stops, the washer is constantly pumping the water in and draining it out at the same time (my water bills are going higher and higher :-) ) , the drum is intermittently spinning back and forth at normal low speed (like during normal washing cycle).
If you advance the timer dial manually (just a little bit , say one click), it continues the cycle normally.
What could be the problem? Control board or rather the timer itself?

I think it is the timer, but it is an expensive part. If you order from this site and the part does not fix the problem you can replace it, see the returns policy for details and conditions.

(unfortunately , you do not ship to Canada :-( ) I pulled it out and found a broken clip that was rattling inside. the washer is working now. By the way , it gave me a good laugh - timer's design reminded me big telephone stations from 1950x - turning drum with pins, pushing springed contacts. I was even going to write a sarcastic letter to Electrolux asking if they aware that thyristors were invented more than half a century ago.
