My Amana belt broke (happened about 1 1/2 -2 yrs ago) so thought same thing, belt got old. Put new belt on, double checked correct routing, but when timer gets to where belt should engage in spin cycle, motor runs, but doesn't engage the belt, just sits and spins. I tried to pull on the spring to increase the tension but still nothing...thoughts?
