Model Number: 110.72870610 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
My 30+ year old Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 washer just finished its cycle (or so I thought) and the tub is still full of water! Tried running it again on the various cycles and noticed it will agitate, but it's still full.
The switch on the lid is still there, and makes a "click" when I close the lid, so I don't think that's the problem...? Not sure if this is also related, but I also have a burning rubber smell coming from the washer. It's actually had that smell every time I run the washer for a while now, but before now, it worked fine regardless...maybe that is the issue and it's now caught up to me. Can I fix this? And how do I get the water out of there?! Help! Thanks, Michele Ads By Google Related Models |

Michele,
Most likely the problem is a stuck drain pump. Also possible the belt is damaged too. This washer is not very simple in repair. I believe it's better to call a pro. - The part number for the drain pump is AP3138954 - The part number for the belt is AP2914771 Gene.
