It will not come on when I set it on wash. It will fill with water if I put it on rince. The delicate cycle will work, hit and miss. Plese help. I need to know what part torder and at least a hint as to where I can find it to try and replace it. thatk you

Since it will go through a complete rinse cycle, that suggests there is no mechanical problem and that the timer is at fault. Here is the part Part number: AP4026232
I would call in the order, and have your model and serial numbers with you as Maytag sometimes changes parts for the same model.
