GE topload will not agitate/spin will pump
Model Number: WJRE5500GWW Brand: GE Age: Less than 1 year
Our washer will fill with water but will not agitate or spin it will pump out water. The washer makes a humming sound when it should be agitating or spinning.You can turn the agitator by hand it has some resistance in both dirrection. You can also turn the pulley underneath with same results. The belt is O.K. When the drive pulley is turned the agitator also turns. Can anyone please help. Thanks!!

Disconnect power for a few minutes. Reconnect power then open & close the lid 10 or more times within 12 seconds. If it would not help then call GE for the warranty service due to the washer is less than a year old.
