Washer will not Agitate.
Model Number: 101.26912690 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years
Washer runs fine, except it will not agitate.
Seems to have been failing over time as I could hear what sounded like a gear slipping, stripping under vertical plastic agitating tower(the thing with the fins on it that actually moves the close about in the drum as it spins). At one point, I heard it slipping/stripping and opened the washer and saw the agitator spinning erratically, ie stopping/spinning/stopping. I pushed down on the agitator and it then engaged and spun properly. Upon releasing it, it again spun erratically. I think it is something with the plastic part. Is there a diagram available to assist me with part selection? Ads By Google Related Models
