Model Number: LWA50AW Brand: Amana Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a leaking Amana washing machine. It leaks from the bottom/front of the machine. It appears to leak about a cup full (8 oz) during operation. I'm fairly handy with tools. I want to know where to start and what to look for. Thanks!

Remove the two screws along the bottom of the front panel and then pull the bottom toward you. It will release from the top clips. Then take a look and see if you can find the source of the leak. It may be your pump (AP3873830) which is right up front, but if you find water coming down the shaft, a seal (AP2415928) is more likely going to be the problem.

I bet you dollars to donuts, the tub seal leaked. It always does, and it probably sounds like a canadian freight train in the spin cycle too. Tom ********************************************
