Ok folks! Now I'm getting frustrated. My washer is still making a growling noise in both the agitating and spin cycles. I just replaced the water pump and the thrust bearing assembly. Although not as noisy, it's still not right.
Any ideas?

Well neither or those would likely be the cause, it is more likely the transmission if it is doing it in both spin and agitation. Operate it with the front panel off and see if you can locate the loctaion of the noise.
