The spin/agitate belt wore out on my 12 year old Speed Queen AWM593W2 washer. I removed the motor/pump assembly by loosening the hoses on the pump and slipped what was left of the belt off the drum pulley. My question is: How do I remove/replace the belt from the motor pulley when the motor pulley is sandwiched on the shaft between the motor and the pump? Without separating the pump from the assembly, the belt is trapped. I turned the assembly over and removed the screws holding the pump to the motor bracket, but the pump does not want to slip off the motor shaft. The motor pulley is pinned on the shaft. Does that pin hold the motor shaft, pulley and pump together? Or is the pump just stuck and I need to pry it off the end of the shaft? I don't know how much prying force the plastic pump can take. But what can I hurt - it doesn't work now, right? Thanks

The pump is just stuck to the shaft and you will need to gingerly pry it off. This may be a good time to put on a new pump as well. But it sounds like you are doing just fine so far.
