Default Maytag Atlantis won't go automatically advance to rinse cycle
Model Number: MAV6200AWW   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

Washer works. However in the Color and Delicate cycle, the timer won't automatically advance to rinse. If we manually move it to rinse, washer works fine.

Also, the timer does automatically advance to rinse for whites?

Any tips?

Thanks,
Bob

The timer has tumblers which can wear out on each cycle, therby requiring you to manually rotate the knob. Had the timer go out on the regular cycle before and allothers worked, replaced the timer and 'voila!" back in business!
