Hi,
Our Maytag washer is only a few years old, but I don't know the model number. Top load, has worked well for years. Recently the washer has started to push water above the inner drum during the wash/agitate cycle. Only happens when we do large or super-size loads. No leaks during fill/drain. I took front off and watch, no leaking from drum, hoses, seals, etc. When it's in the wash cycle with a pretty full load, after a while the clothes start to ride up the sides of the inner drum and eventually water gets pushed up over the top of the drum. I didn't use to do this. Any suggestions?

Also - I've just never paid attention to this before....but should the inner drum be rotating during the agitation cycle? It's spinning pretty fast (not as fast as the rinse cycle). I wonder if that's somehow helping the clothes "build up" along the sides of the drum and pushing the water up over the edge of the drum.

Any suggestions out there from the peanut gallery?
