How do I change the water valve? Do I have to remove the back cover from the washer?

Without a model number it is a guess!!!
YES

Why do you want to replace it?
If it is shot the unit is still under warranty, place a service call.
Could be something else (more expensive) causing your problem.

Maytag Washer MAV7600AWW

How do I change a water valve on this washer. Do I have to remove the entire back cover of the washer? I have done this on a previous washer but it was easy and this one doesn't seem that I could get to it without remnoving the back cover. Thanks for your help.
