The drum on my washer won't spin the water out of clothes. I can hear something moving inside but not drum.:confused:

But the washer does agitate(wash) correct ? You'll need a helper for this test, unplug the washer and slide it away from the wall, raise the front feet off the floor 5 or 6 inches and remove the belt. Turn the pulley by hand, in a clockwise direction, and you assistant should see the agitator move back and forth. When you reverse the direction( turn the pulley counter clockwise) within a 1/2 to 3/4 revolution of the pulley, the drive system should engage and it should be a little difficult to turn the pulley, but the tub should start to turn/spin within another 1/2 to 1 revolution, unless thers a problem with the thrust bearing assembly or bad transmission. Let us know what you find. We can go from there if we need to. :) :) :)
