:( I purchased the shaft and mode shifter assembly for my 2007 GE washer from appliance parts pros.

There is a large "hub nut" that secures the shaft to the inner drum. It requires a special wrench to remove this 1 & 11/16 "Hub nut" which I also purchased.

Problem is that even with this special wrench, the "hub nut" still won't budge. Tried spraying and soaking over night with liquid wrench, but still won't budge even when I use a hammer.

any ideas?:(

The hub nut is probably a left-hand threaded nut. This is the opposite of most threads so that the motion of the machine tightens the nut continuously. This means righty-loosy not righty-tighty. Have you tried turning the nut clockwise when looking at it from above. This should loosen this nut.
