Last year I replaced the pump and it's been all good until now.
Now, all of a sudden after a day of sounding different but still working, it quit draining and won't spin.
I was advised that it was the motor since I could hear that humming (it's deffinately not the pump).
I ordered the part and installed it. It still made alot of new noises but it worked. Once. It drained and it spun so I let it finish and then ran a regular cycle with the same clothes cause they had soured while I waited for the part to arrive. It didn't work that time, it went right back to what it was doing before. Doesn't drain, does a slow back and forth tumble then declares itself done...eventually.

So...is there some kind of relay switch or something that could be making the motor not get the right message and also make it hum?

The speed control board, which controls the motor is the weak spot on these models.

Use this service manual to check things out.
