Hi,
AS of this morning my Roper washer, model number unknown, won't spin. It washes and drains the water, but at the spin cycle, it just makes noise, but nothin happens. I've tried it on every cycle, I tried manually spinning it into submission, but nothing happens. Do you know what replacement part or parts are needed?

This is probably a Whirlpool made direct drive washer, so use this video to check out the clutch,

YouTube - Washing Machine Clutch Band and Lining Repair Kit Replacement (part #285790)

and use the Sticky on direct drive brakes by Richappy at the top of this page to check out the brakes.
