Previously fixed the snubber. Thats fine. But now just started to make a loud sound when in spin cycle (is when i noticed it.) It sounds like a jet airplane is about to land...Its like its missing a muffler. Opened the lid and it stoped without any noise. So thinking the brake was fine. But not sure why the loudness is happening.
Thanks,
K1

This is a Maytag, not a GE, but you probably knew that.

Sounds like a bearing replacement is needed, this part here.

Part number: AP4025154
Part number: AP4025154

It is a straight forward but not too easy a repair, and may need some special tools. It also requires Maytag grease,

YES Maytag....It does sound like a bearing. So this makes perfect sense.
Thanks!
