Default Agitator dogs
Model Number: SAWX650MQ2   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

When in spin cycle the agitator won't spin, I can hear the motor working but it sounds like something is not grabbing. I bought new agitator dogs to replace them. I took the white cap off and un did the bolt and took the agitator off. Now I see the metal gear in the bowl but where are the agitator dogs located?

According to your model number, your agitator doesn't have any dogs. Its just a one piece agitator. See diagram. Agitator, basket and tub parts replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL SAWX650MQ2 AUTOMATIC WASHER | AppliancePartsPros.com

If you are talking about the agitator staying still while the washer's clothes basket is spinning, and if it is making a kind of rrriittt, rrriittt, rrriittt noise while doing it? Then its most likely a problem in your gearcase.
