My washer has been making a loud rubbing noise every time I wash a load of clothes. It does it more so when I wash heavy items such as jeans.
Can someone tell me what the problem could be? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check to see if there is anything, like a nail or pin, in one of the holes in the tub.

I would tilt the washer back, pull off the belt, and check it for burn marks. Also, check the plastic motor, tranny and pump pulleys.
