Along with everybody else, my maytag wouldnt spin. Repairman charged me $300 lat year and replaced the circuit board even though no signs of burning but it did start spinning after that. Year later, no spin again. I unplugged and checked the wax motor (it is the old one and I ordered a new one) and the switches they all seemed fine. No burned r11's etc. Put everything back together and closed the door and it went directly into locked mode. Ran a cycle hoping to have it unlock at the end but it remained locked. By the way, it did spin, strange. I may have plugged the wires back in wrong but I dont think so. So now I have spinning but door remains in the lock mode?

To unlock door, Remove the detergent/softener dispenser cup. You'll see somewhere in the direction toward the front, a red vinyl cord. Pull the cord and the door is unlocked. Then, inside the console is a tech sheet. It gives diagnosis tests and procedures.
