My washer is not cycling through all but one cycle (the delicate) on it's own. It started out a couple years ago in the one I use the most off & on and I'd have to turn the knob slightly just one time to kick it back to keep moving through the cycle. Now it's only going through the complete cycle in the delicate which I have used the least. No problem in filling, spinning & rinsing. A friend of mine that does general repairs in prop. mgmt turned the knob and seemed to think that it lacked tension in the cycles I use the most. Can anybody help me figure out what it might be and what part would need to be replaced. Don't know if it's worth it. Thanks!!

Hi ncnicholson

Most likely the problem with your washer is a bad timer which is not repairable and has to be replaced.

- The part number for the timer AP3605418

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LSR5233AW0

Good luck.
Gene.
