I just finished replacing the 4 struts that hold the basket in place on my cabrio washer as I was told by your online tech person that was the original problem, now I plugged it back in and tried to run a cycle - it gets to drain and spin and shows error code 5d in the display which is supposed to be from suds, it seems like it is trying to spin but all it does is make thumping noise and the washer jerks to the left randomly- and, the washer has nothing in it -the cycle ended with the green flashing around the dial, the washer stopped, and it repeats 3 quick beeps Any ideas?

The first thing to check is whether or not the parts went in correctly. Now that we have a model number I can link you to the service manual, which is right here.

Thank you, I have the service manual, after reading other blogs and posts, it looks like the main bearing is shot, will cost $400.00 for the whole tub as you can't buy just the bearing, so I'm throwing in the towel an getting a new washer for the same price, thanks for the reply.

Well these are great machines when they work, but when they don't they are expensive to repair and difficult to diagnose.

Good luck with your new machine.
