I broke the safety lid lock and now my washer wont start and the lowest estimate I have received from any company around me is 200 dollars so I was wondering if there was any easy fix on this one or if I could bypass the switch. Obviously frigidaire has been no help to me so I am hoping someone on here can be.

Thanks

If the washer is less than a year old, it should be under warranty. Don't they have a year on their machines? If not the part isn't really that expensive. Check this link Part Details - FRIGIDAIRE Lid lock switch assembly, part number: AP2108159

It looks like its just under the top on this washer, so it shouldn't be too bad to get to.

Whatever you do, don't bypass it. Its a safety feature and its there for a reason.
