Hello,
I apoligize for not having the model number. The washer is actually at my mothers because its hers. She has a 80 series kenmore and the lower portion of the agitation works however the top doesnt work unless she applies pressure. I have noticed others with a similiar problem and a talk about dog ears. I couldnt find a match on this one though. Does anyone have a diagram of this model or something similiar? and any feedback on what you think is the problem is much appreciated. I have only talked with her over the phone and I'm trying to preplan before going over there and attacking the problem. I again thank you for any and all help...take care..

You need to order agitator dogs part # 80040.
Remove the agitator top and locate the 7/16 screw and remove it. Sometimes it has a 1/2 inch square hole that you need to unscrew with a 1/2 inch ratchet.
Set the agitator on the floor, stand on the bottom section and just yank the top off, you will see the dogs inside.
